Changes

Fresh grapefruit or sweetie for human consumption

Effective from 23 June 2020

The department has updated the following wording in the Egyptian citrus cases to align with other fresh produce cases.

The new wording which will replace existing outdated text is:

“The seal number must be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate or on commercial documentation (e.g. Bill of Lading). If endorsed on commercial documentation, the phytosanitary certificate number must also be referenced.”

If the seal number is not detailed on documentation, the goods will be held, and the nominated agent will be requested to re-present documentation.

The changes will also assist with efficient clearance of compliant consignments on arrival.
