Background:
The department has recently completed a review of this commodity. The BICON case has been updated as follows.
Commodity descriptions have been clarified.
Additional definitions and glossary terms have been included.
The requirement that goods from New Zealand be cooked has been removed.
The requirement that goods from New Zealand be retail ready has been removed.
Minor changes have been made to the certification requirements to ensure that they align with negotiated certificates.
Inspection requirements have been clarified.
The options available to importers of goods which do not pass inspection have been made clearer.
