Revised conditions for confectionery

Effective from 21 December 2018

The department has made amendments to the conditions for confectionery. These amendments were effective 16 November 2018 and include:

  1. Egg and dairy ingredients in the product must be less than 10 percent. This is an existing condition for egg and dairy, and the condition has been added to the confectionery case to improve clarity.

  2. There must not be any meat ingredients in the product.

Interim measures:

The changes are now live in BICON, however, if the revised conditions are not met, previous conditions will be accepted until Monday 11 March 2019 (inclusive) and can be accessed here or by using the historical case in BICON for version 31.07.2018-16.11.2018.
