Delay to implementing changes to the Goods Determination

This notice applies to importers of plant, animal and biological goods, customs brokers and regional officers.
Background
The Biosecurity (Prohibited and Conditionally Non-Prohibited Goods) Determination 2016 is currently being amended. As a result there will be changes to import conditions, including that import permits for certain commodities will no longer be required when the alternative conditions are met. However, due to delays in implementing changes to the Goods Determination, the date when changes will take effect is to be advised. Please continue to monitor Alerts for further information.
