Regional officers, importers and brokers are advised that the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources is concluding the Compliance-Based Inspection Scheme (CBIS) trial for peat and selected vegetable seeds as of Wednesday 15th December 2017.

The department would also like to thank stakeholders and staff for their participation and involvement in the trial.

What has changed?

What do I need to do?

Importers and brokers that were participating in the CBIS trial will need to clear these products under the import conditions listed in the relevant BICON cases. The change does not affect importers that were not participating in the trial.
