End of BPL season for timber imports from New Zealand
Effective from 20 April 2017The Ministry of Primary Industries New Zealand (MPI NZ) has advised the department that the 2016-2017 flight season of the Burnt Pine Longicorn (BPL) beetle has ended for all New Zealand ports as of 24:00 hours (NZST) on 19/04/2017.
Consignments loaded onto vessels and consignments loaded and sealed into containers after 24:00 hours (NZST) on 19/04/17 are not required to meet import conditions for importing during BPL flight season.
Affected timber commodities from New Zealand include:
Break bulk and containerised |
Break bulk only |
Unfinished timber |
Plywood and veneer sheeting |
Round wood |
