Ricinus seed for sowing

Effective from 2 March 2017

What is the change?

The Australian weed status of Ricinus communis has been re-assessed by the department, whereby the seed is now permitted entry into Australia, subject to import conditions for growth and disease screening in post entry quarantine.

What does this mean for my imports?

The department will vary current import permits to reflect the revised import conditions by 31 March 2017.
