Addition of Yersinia enterocolitica to standard laboratory microorganisms list
Effective from 1 March 2017This notice provides clients of the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (the department) notification of changes to the standard laboratory microorganisms list.
What is the change?
The standard laboratory microorganisms list has been updated to include Yersinia enterocolitica.
What does this mean for my imports?
Yersinia enterocolitica can be imported with a standard import permit for standard laboratory microorganisms.

This Alert applies to the following Cases:
- Genetic material excluding plants and plant pathogens
- Microorganisms
- Antigens for laboratory use
- Purified antibodies
- Animal fluids and tissues (excluding reproductive material)
