Import conditions for chicken meat and meat products from New Zealand
Effective from 30 August 2016New import conditions for chicken meat and chicken meat products from New Zealand
Regional officers, importers and brokers are advised that conditions for importing chicken meat and chicken meat products from New Zealand for human consumption are now available on the Biosecurity Import Conditions database (BICON).
An import permit must be obtained prior to importation. The import conditions can be found through the “Uncanned or unretorted meat for human consumption” case in BICON.
The importer must comply with all import conditions and the requirements of any other regulatory or advisory bodies prior to, and after, import.
