Import Conditions for Plumcots and Pluots from New Zealand

Effective from 17 December 2015

Regional Officers, Importers and Brokers are advised that conditions for importing fresh Plumcots and Pluots (Prunus  salicinia x Prunus  armeniaca, Prunus  domestica x Prunus  armeniaca) from New Zealand for human consumption are now available on the Biosecurity Import Conditions database (BICON), effective immediately.


It is the importer’s responsibility to identify and ensure compliance with all requirements of any other regulatory and advisory bodies prior to and after importation.


Each consignment must be accompanied by a valid import permit and an official government Phytosanitary certificate.


Importers are reminded that an Import Permit must be obtained prior to importation.
