End of BPL season for timber imports from New Zealand
Effective from 19 April 2024The Ministry of Primary Industries New Zealand (MPI NZ) has advised the department that the 2023-2024 flight season of the Burnt Pine Longicorn (BPL) beetle has concluded for all New Zealand ports as of 19 April 2024.
Consignments loaded onto vessels prior to Friday 19 April 2024 are still required to meet import conditions for importing during BPL flight season.
Affected commodities from New Zealand include:
Break bulk and containerised |
Break bulk only |
Unfinished Timber |
Plywood |
Round Wood |
Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) |
Logs |
Veneer sheeting |
Oversize timber not for processing |
