Change to validity periods for standard permits for Cheese and butter due to the dairy review
Effective from 31 August 2023The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has revised the 5-year permit validity for standard permits for cheese and butter.
Standard cheese and butter permits will continue to be issued for two years, until the results of the Dairy review have been finalised and any changes to import conditions published.
This change will reduce possible negative effects on importers and reduce the resources required to implement any changes resulting from the dairy review.

Importers of cheese and butter, Pathway Operations Cargo – Assessment and Inspection and Biosecurity Imports Support Team.
