End of BPL season for timber imports from New Zealand
Effective from 27 April 2022The Ministry of Primary Industries New Zealand (MPI NZ) has advised the department that the 2020-2021 flight season of the Burnt Pine Longicorn (BPL) beetle has concluded for all New Zealand ports as of 26 April 2022.
Consignments loaded onto vessels prior to 27 April 2022 are still required to meet import conditions for importing during BPL flight season.
Affected commodities from New Zealand include:
Break bulk and containerised |
Break bulk only |
Unfinished timber |
Plywood |
Round wood |
Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) |
Logs |
Veneer sheeting |
Oversize timber not for processing |
