Effective from 30 July 2021

The Compliance-based Intervention Scheme (CBIS) is expanding.

The department is incorporating a number of commodities onto the Compliance-based Intervention Scheme (CBIS). This change is scheduled to take effect on 4 August 2021.

The following commodities have been scoped for addition:

  • Dried coconut products (all countries)
  • Fresh mature coconuts (husk removed and prayer nuts) (all countries)

  • Crushed or ground herbs and spices (capsicum, chilli, allspice, ginger, turmeric, and garlic) (all countries)
