Upcoming changes to the import conditions for fresh garlic bulbs for human consumption

Effective from 26 November 2021

There are no changes to import conditions for imported fresh garlic bulbs, however importers should be reminded that as per ISPM 12, a re-export phytosanitary certificate is required for consignments that have been deconsolidated and re-packed in an intermediate country, prior to arrival in Australia.

Consignment security and traceability will be reconciled on arrival into Australia as per standard import practices.
