New test to verify devitalisation of propagatable species of imported fresh cut flowers and foliage

Effective from 24 June 2021

Changes will be implemented from 1 July 2021.

The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment will trial a new test to verify that propagatable species of imported fresh cut flowers and foliage have been devitalised prior to export.

Further information is available via Industry Advice Notice-114-2021.

New instructional material (Directing and sending a sample of imported fresh cut flowers and foliage for devitalisation testing) has been published in the Instructional Material Library to provide guidance to ASG and IG officers for implementing this new test.

Onshore outcomes for propagatable species of imported fresh cut flowers and foliage have been updated in BICON to include the new activity and field record comments to assist IG officers.
