Updates to the fungal contamination in the seed contaminants and tolerance tables

Effective from 3 March 2021

Fungal contamination in the Seed contaminants and tolerance tables has been updated to reflect the following changes:

  1. For Agrostis spp., Bromus spp., Cynodon spp., Dactylis spp. and Poa spp., no action is required if ergot (Claviceps spp.) contamination is found.
  2. Added clarification for Festuca spp. x Lolium spp. (Festulolium spp.) as this species is a hybrid of Festuca spp. and Lolium spp.

Who does this alert affect:
Importers of seed for sowing, Assessment Services Group, Inspections Group and Client Contact Group.

Background:
These changes are occurring as a result of a departmental review.
