Removal of Salvia divinorum from seed and nursery stock BICON cases
Effective from 15 November 2019Salvia divinorum has been removed from seed and nursery stock BICON cases and added to 'Plant and plant products prohibited by Customs'.
Who does this alert affect:
Importers of Salvia divinorum, brokers and Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment staff.
Import permits:
Existing active permits will be varied by the department at no cost to the importer.
Background:
To reflect the legislation under Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations 1956, Salvia divinorum has been added to the 'Plant and plant products prohibited by Customs' case and removed from all seed and nursery stock cases.
