Tribulus terrestris classified as a weed
Effective from 28 June 2019The species Tribulus terrestris has been added to the BICON case ‘Plant species that are weeds’ and removed from the cases listed in this alert.

Background:
As a result of a review on the weed status of Tribulus terrestris in Australia it was determined that the species is a declared noxious weed and is under official control.
Tribulus terrestris is a weed of agriculture, the environment and disturbed areas and is subject to active control measures. It is therefore eligible to be prohibited from importation.
