End of BPL season for timber imports from New Zealand
Effective from 15 April 2019The Ministry of Primary Industries New Zealand (MPI NZ) has advised the Department that the 2018-2019 flight season of the Burnt Pine Longicorn (BPL) beetle has ended for all New Zealand ports as of 24:00 hours (NZST) on 15/04/2019.
Consignments loaded onto vessels and sealed into containers after 24:00 hours (NZST) on 15/04/19 are not required to meet import conditions for importing during BPL flight season.
Affected commodities from New Zealand include:

Break bulk only |
Unfinished Timber |
Plywood |
Round Wood |
Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) |
Logs |
Veneer sheeting |
Oversize timber not for processing |
