Addition of approved testing laboratory for seed purity analysis in Chile and Thailand
Effective from 29 May 2019What is the change?
The department has approved new laboratories to perform seed purity analysis on seed being imported into Australia. The list of department-approved seed testing laboratories has been updated to include the following laboratories:

What does this mean for my imports?
Seed species that require an import permit:
Existing import permits will not be varied to include the new laboratories, unless specifically requested by an import permit holder.
All new permits will be issued with the new laboratories included.
Seed species that do not require an import permit:
Certificates issued by the above laboratories will be accepted by the department immediately.
