Case Description
This case describes the requirements for the importation of uncanned or unretorted meat for human consumption only. Uncanned or unretorted meat includes products such as meat floss, pig meat, poultry meat, bovine meat, crocodile meat and ham.
For the import of fish, please refer to the BICON case Finfish for human consumption. For the import of elasmobranchs/sharks, molluscs and crustaceans (including prawns), please refer to the BICON case Seafood (excluding finfish).

Please note that this case only applies to the meat component of composite products. If you are importing a composite product, you must search BICON for each individual ingredient to determine the conditions that apply.
