Case Overview

This case describes the requirements for the importation of dairy products for human consumption only.

Dairy may include products such as milk based infant foods, cheese, lactose and its derivatives, butter, butter oil (ghee), milk products, milk protein, yoghurts, ice cream, caramel, cream, casein, whey and dairy based confectionery including chocolate.

This case does not apply to colostrum. For colostrum, please refer to the BICON case Colostrum.

Please note that this case only applies to the dairy component of composite products. If you are importing a composite product, you must search BICON for each individual ingredient to determine the conditions that apply.
