Case Overview

This case describes the requirements for the importation of egg and egg products for human consumption only. Egg products include goods such as canned eggs, egg jam, mayonnaise, spray-dried egg, pavlovas and cheesecakes.

This case does not apply to cakes (other than cheesecakes). For cooked cakes please refer to the BICON case Cooked biscuits, breads and cakes. For cake mixes please refer to the BICON case Prepared and packaged foodstuffs.

Please note that this case only applies to the egg component of composite products. If you are importing a composite product, you must search BICON for each individual ingredient to determine the conditions that apply.
