Case Description

This case describes the requirements for the importation of cocoa powder, cocoa butter, cocoa cake and cocoa liquor for all uses other than as animal foods, fertilisers or for growing purposes.

Cocoa butter, also called theobroma oil, is an edible vegetable fat extracted from the cocoa bean. For the importation of dairy butter, please refer to the BICON case Dairy products for human consumption.

Cocoa cake, or cocoa mass is the solid remainder after extraction of cocoa butter. For the importation of cooked cakes, please refer to the BICON case Dairy products for human consumption.
