Case Description
All imports are subject to the non-commodity import conditions described in this case. Non-commodity import conditions apply to all packaging, containers and transport methods used to bring goods into the country. These conditions are in addition to the conditions that apply to the goods being imported.
This case applies to imports into: Australia.
Break bulk cargo originating from or loaded in a country on the Department of Agriculture GAS Country Action List should be salted and segregated on the wharf until a Giant African Snail inspection can occur.
Containers originating from or loaded in countries on the Department of Agriculture GAS Country Action List will be subject to external inspection at the wharf area or at an AA site specifically approved for Giant African Snail inspections.
