Case Overview

This case describes the requirements for the importation of fat and tallow for human consumption only. Fat and tallow includes products such as lard, lard oil, suet, rendered fat and rendered tallow. This case applies to importation of fat and tallow derived from mammals, birds or reptiles.

Please note that this case only applies to the fat or tallow component of composite products. If you are importing a composite product, you must search BICON for each individual ingredient to determine the conditions that apply.
