This case describes the requirements for the importation of species of Zantedeschia plants, tissue culture and tubers. All plant material requires an import permit prior to importation into Australian territory. Tissue cultures must be free of visible contamination, and require phytosanitary certification and inspection prior to release from biosecurity control. Other plant material will require inspection, fumigation and a minimum 3 months growth period in quarantine at an approved arrangement site for visual disease screening. Dormant Zantedeschia tubers from approved countries may be imported under an approved system that requires inspection overseas to verify freedom from pathogens of concern. Tubers must be treated for insects, and following inspection and treatment, may be released from biosecurity control without the need for post entry quarantine. This case describes the requirements for the importation of stockfeed products to be fed to stock animals including ruminants, poultry, pigs, horses, aquatic animals and bees. These products may contain ingredients of animal, microbial, plant, macroalgae, microalgae and/or mineral origin. This case should also be used for silage inoculants and for samples of plant-based stockfeed being imported for laboratory analysis. Ricinus communis seed for sowing Alerts

This case describes the requirements for the importation of Ricinus communis seed. Note: The genus Ricinus is considered to be monotypic, with Ricinus communis being the only species. Previously described species within the genus Ricinus have been transferred to other genera or grouped within R. communis. R. communis may be imported under the following conditions: All seed for sowing is required to have an import permit prior to importation into Australian territory. All seed must be free of contamination when inspected on arrival. The seed must be packaged in clean, new packaging with the botanical name clearly identified. All seed must be grown in an approved post entry quarantine facility in Australian territory, from seedling emergence to seed harvest, where the material will be visually screened for disease.
