Wooden manufactured articles containing bark

This case describes the conditions for wooden items where bark is a feature of the end product (including furniture, vases, bowls, picture frames, chopping boards and musical instruments). The products being imported may be allowed entry with a permit and mandatory treatment. The suitability of the product will be assessed on a case by case basis.

This case covers timber products both manufactured and unfinished. Individual pieces of timber must have at least one dimension less than or equal to 200mm. Examples include sawn timber logs less than 200mm in diameter, flooring and wooden beams, furniture, household items, stationery, musical instruments and sporting equipment. This case describes the requirements for the importation of the majority of permitted plant fibres for all uses other than as animal foods, fertilisers, landscaping or for growing. This case describes the requirements for the importation of specimens, trophies, articles and handicrafts for all uses other than as animal foods, fertilisers or for growing purposes. This includes items such as taxidermied animals, animal tissues (including fish), preserved animal bones, animal scientific specimens, rawhide musical instruments containing materials of animal origin, tanned and untanned hides and products made from tanned or untanned hides. They are aggregates of minerals, water, decomposed animal and plant material and micro-organisms.
