This case includes banana and banana products that have been dried, boiled, cooked, fried or baked, banana flowers, frozen leaves or frozen products containing banana leaves, extracts or highly processed goods and banana flavours.

Maize grits for human consumption or processing Alerts

This case describes the requirements for import of maize grits (or broken corn) for human consumption, or further processing into either food or for alcohol production. The goods must be commercially prepared and packaged. Maize grits (or broken corn) may range in size from granules less than 3mm or degermed kernels or granules greater than 3mm but less than full kernels. Corn cob articles being imported not for human consumption should be assessed under the Permitted plant fibres BICON case.

This case may include items such as pasta, spaghetti, egg noodles, commercially packaged noodles or instant noodles. Please note that this case applies to noodles derived from plant material only and noodles containing egg. If you are importing a composite product that includes ingredients other than egg, you must search BICON for each individual ingredient to determine the conditions that apply.
