Powdered herbs consist of dried and ground plant parts (including seeds, fruits, herbs, bark and roots). Dried herbs for human consumption Alerts

This case describes the requirements for the importation of dried herbs. Importation is permitted for human consumption and human therapeutics. This includes pods without seeds, citrus peel, leaves, flowers, stems, roots, gums, resins, rhizomes, spices and crushed nut shells that are thoroughly dried and not capable of propagation. The case does not apply to seeds, fruit or bark. For pods with permitted seed and dried fruit, please use the Dried fruit BICON case. For permitted seed, please use the Raw seed BICON case. Dried herb products not for human consumption Alerts

This case describes the requirements for the importation of dried herb products. Importation is permitted for all end uses other than for human consumption, animal foods, fertilisers, growing purposes, bioremediation and veterinary therapeutic use. Products may be individual leaves (not bunches of leaves attached to the stem/branch/vine), flowers (not on stems), stems, roots, gums, resins, rhizomes, spices and crushed nut shells. These must be thoroughly dried, broken into small pieces and not capable of propagation. This case does not apply to, fruit or bark. Oak barrels and chestnut bark hoops

This case describes the conditions for wooden items where bark is a feature of the end product (including furniture, vases, bowls, picture frames, chopping boards and musical instruments). The products being imported may be allowed entry with a permit and mandatory treatment. The suitability of the product will be assessed on a case by case basis.
