Stockfeed, stockfeed ingredients and stockfeed additives

This case describes the requirements for the importation of stockfeed products to be fed to stock animals including ruminants, poultry, pigs, horses, aquatic animals and bees. These products may contain ingredients of animal, microbial, plant, macroalgae, microalgae and/or mineral origin. This case should also be used for silage inoculants and for samples of plant-based stockfeed being imported for laboratory analysis. For products that are also used as veterinary therapeutics (e.g. antibiotics) please also consult the case for Veterinary therapeutics and veterinary therapeutic ingredients. For bee pollen that will be fed to animals refer to the case Bee Pollen. Processed grain and seed products for human consumption

This case describes the requirements for the importation of processed grain and seed products for human consumption. The grain or seed must be made non-viable by processing. Processing includes cooked and frozen grains and seeds, textured vegetable proteins (e.g. tofu), vegan products (including cheese, sausages and yoghurt), flours, flakes, meal, meslin, bran, protein flour and grains and seeds that are puffed or exploded. Flakes must be rolled so the grain is cracked. This case also applies to processed nuts in the form of powder, meal or flakes. For cooked seeds, please see Cooked seeds for human consumption. Biodegradable plant pots and urns

This case describes the requirements for the importation of biodegradable plant pots for use as fertiliser and biodegradable urns for human, or animal, remains.For coir fibre liners for hanging baskets, please see the Permitted plant fibres case.For urns containing human remains or animal remains, please see the Human remains or Cremated animal remains case.For coir peat plugs, inserts and pots for use as a growing medium, please see the Coir peat case.These biodegradable plant products can be made from rice husks, sphagnum, wood pulp and other plant materials that pose a biosecurity risk. Biodegradable plant products must be manufactured in a way that will reduce the biosecurity risk or be subject to mandatory treatment.These conditions do not apply to urns made from bioplastics such as starch derivatives or cellulose.
