Maize grits for human consumption or processing Alerts

This case describes the requirements for import of maize grits (or broken corn) for human consumption, or further processing into either food or for alcohol production. The goods must be commercially prepared and packaged. Maize grits (or broken corn) may range in size from granules less than 3mm or degermed kernels or granules greater than 3mm but less than full kernels. Corn cob articles being imported not for human consumption should be assessed under the Permitted plant fibres BICON case.
