This case describes the requirements for the importation of sawdust and woodchips. Sawdust products include, but are not limited to, products and products containing chunks and bits of wood, wood chips, sawdust or wood powder, wood shavings, wine making oak alternatives (excluding barrels, staves and headboards). Dried herb products not for human consumption

This case describes the requirements for the importation of dried herb products. Importation is permitted for all end uses other than for human consumption, animal foods, fertilisers, growing purposes, bioremediation and veterinary therapeutic use. Products may be individual leaves (not bunches of leaves attached to the stem/branch/vine), flowers (not on stems), stems, roots, gums, resins, rhizomes, spices and crushed nut shells. These must be thoroughly dried, broken into small pieces and not capable of propagation. This case does not apply to, fruit or bark. Dried herbs for human consumption

This case describes the requirements for the importation of dried herbs. Importation is permitted for human consumption and human therapeutics. This includes pods without seeds, citrus peel, leaves, flowers, stems, roots, gums, resins, rhizomes, spices and crushed nut shells that are thoroughly dried and not capable of propagation. This case includes import conditions for sawn timber and timber products and manufactured wooden articles. Examples include sawn timber, structural timber, furniture, household wooden items, stationery, musical instruments and sporting equipment. Import conditions in this case only cater for timber where individual pieces have at least one dimension less than or equal to 200mm. Processed grain and seed products for human consumption

This case describes the requirements for the importation of processed grain and seed products for human consumption. The grain or seed must be made non-viable by processing. Processing includes cooked and frozen grains and seeds, textured vegetable proteins (e.g. tofu), vegan products (including cheese, sausages and yoghurt), flours, flakes, meal, meslin, bran, protein flour and grains and seeds that are puffed or exploded. Powdered plant products for human consumption

The case describes the requirements for the importation of powdered plant products for human consumption. Powdered plant products consist of dried and ground or granulated plant parts (including fruits, herbs, bark and roots). Human consumption includes uses such as food, supplements, complementary medicines, cosmetics or smoking. Plant material embedded in a solid medium

This case describes the requirements for the importation of plant products that are embedded in a solid medium. Plant material embedded in plastic includes plant materials, wood or bamboo that have been fully embedded (that is, not capable of free movement) in a solid medium that is impervious to air and liquid. Plant or plant parts with soil attached are permitted, providing the soil is fully embedded. Acceptable embedding media include catalysed hard plastics and hard silicones, fibreglass, resin, or similar compounds which have been fully sealed around the plant material using heat, moulding or chemical processes. Plant material embedded in plastic does not include plant materials, timber or bamboo that have been surface coated with a laminate, lacquer, paint, stain or items that have been wrapped in other materials. It further does not include engineered or impregnated wood or plant products such as plywood, veneer, compressed agricultural waste/wood products and reconstituted wood or wood plastics.

Plant fibre products and seed handicrafts Changes
