This case describes the requirements for the importation of dried or freeze-dried fruit and applies to a range of fruit. Importation is permitted for human consumption and all end uses other than as animal foods, fertilisers or for growing purposes. Dried herbs for human consumption Alerts

This case describes the requirements for the importation of dried herbs. Importation is permitted for human consumption and human therapeutics. This includes pods without seeds, citrus peel, leaves, flowers, stems, roots, gums, resins, rhizomes, spices and crushed nut shells that are thoroughly dried and not capable of propagation. The case does not apply to seeds, fruit or bark. For pods with permitted seed and dried fruit, please use the Dried fruit BICON case. For permitted seed, please use the Raw seed BICON case. For pods with non-permitted seed and non-permitted seed, please use the relevant seed for human consumption BICON case. For bark, please use the Bark for human consumption BICON case.

Dried herb products not for human consumption Alerts

This case describes the requirements for the importation of dried herb products. Importation is permitted for all end uses other than for human consumption, animal foods, fertilisers or growing purposes. Products may contain ingredients such as leaves, flowers, stems, roots, gums, milled seed, resins, rhizomes, spices and crushed nut shells. These must be thoroughly dried, broken into small pieces and not capable of propagation. The case does not apply to unmilled seeds, fruit or bark. This case describes the requirements for the importation of unretorted animal based flavours or floss. Animal based flavours include soups, curry mixes, stock cubes, gravy powder and noodle flavours. This case applies to importation of heat processed animal based flavours or floss containing meat derived from mammals, birds, reptiles, fish (including elasmobranchs/sharks), crustaceans (including prawns), molluscs and aquatic animals. This case describes the requirements for the importation of specimens, trophies, articles and handicrafts for all uses other than as animal foods, fertilisers or for growing purposes. This includes items such as taxidermied animals, animal tissues (including fish), preserved animal bones, animal scientific specimens, rawhide musical instruments containing materials of animal origin, tanned and untanned hides and products made from tanned or untanned hides. Please note that this case only applies to the prawn component of composite products.
