For waste consisting of water and/or soil, please refer to the BICON cases Water and Soil and articles containing soil to determine whether import conditions can be met. Otherwise, select the ‘Other waste (contains biological or soil material for laboratory analysis, treatment or disposal)’ option below.

For the importation of waste containing, or contaminated with, certain hazardous materials (e.g. human cytotoxic waste, oily waste water, waste water contaminated with pesticides, etc.), other regulations may also apply, including the requirements to obtain a controlled chemical and/or hazardous waste import permit(s).
