Which of the following best describes the goods?

Biological ingredients are any ingredients originating from an animal, plant, microorganism or microbial source.

Biological ingredients that originated from microorganisms include live and non-viable microorganisms, enzymes, amino acids and vitamins.

Please refer to the approved ingredients list for ingredients of biological origin that do not require an import permit.

Goods are non-biological when they do not contain biological ingredients. Non-biological goods include minerals, metals and synthetic ingredients.

Note: No level of processing to any ingredient of biological origin will make it synthetic.
