What are Standard permits?

The department has published standard permit conditions for certain commodities to streamline the permit application and assessment process. If you can meet the import conditions we recommend you apply for a standard permit.

Fish oil from all species, packaged in volumes of no greater than 25kg or 25L for human consumption

Fish oil from New Zealand (excluding from salmonid and plecoglossus species)

Non-salmonid fish oil in volumes greater than 25kg or 25L

Other fish oil (including Salmon oil) for human end uses (standard permit)

Other fish oil (including Salmon oil) for human end uses (non-standard permit)
