Onshore Outcomes

  1. Present all documentation

    The importer or nominated agent must present all required documentation to the Department of Agriculture as part of the import procedure.

  2. Inspection

    The goods must be inspected by a biosecurity officer.

  3. Mandatory treatment

    The goods require mandatory treatment with either:

    1. Heat treatment at 85ºC for 8 hours, or

    2. Ethylene oxide fumigation under initial minimum vacuum of 50 kilopascals at 1200 g/m³ for 5 hours at 50°C; or 1500 g/m³ for 24 hours at 21°C.

  4. Release

    The Department of Agriculture will release the goods once all of the biosecurity requirements have been met.
