Soil samples subject to mandatory treatment onshore — Goods arriving as full container load, less than container load sea freight or air freight — Dry heat treatment at 160°C for 2 hours

Onshore Outcomes

  1. Present all documentation

    The importer or nominated agent must present all required documentation to the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry as part of the import procedure.

  2. Treatment

    The goods require treatment with hot air (dry heat) at not less than 160°C for at least 2 hours once the core temperature has been reached.

    Treatment may only be applied to sample sizes that do not exceed 500g in weight.
