Onshore Outcomes

1. Present all documentation

   The importer or nominated agent must present all required documentation to the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry as part of the import procedure.

2. Inspection

   The seed is subject to an inspection by a biosecurity officer.

   1.1 - Sea and Air Freight Depot Operations 1.3 - Sea and Air Freight Depot Operations (Restricted - Including Personal and Household Effects) 2.2 - Agricultural Products Premises

3. Testing

   The seed lot must be sampled and analysed for purity in accordance with ISTA website rules.

   5.2 - Biosecurity Containment Level 2 (BC 2) Facilities 5.21 - Microbiological Biosecurity Containment Level 2 (BC2) Facilities

4. Treatment

   Following inspection the seed must be treated with a copper based seed fungicide containing 0.25% copper oxychloride.

All treatments must be performed at an approved arrangement site (AA site) by an authorised person under a process management system approved arrangement with the department, or under the supervision of a biosecurity officer.


5. Release

   The department will release the goods once all of the biosecurity requirements have been met.
