On 9 November 2015, the department will commence Stage Two of BICON's launch, by removing public access to the ICON database and manual permit application forms. From this date BICON will become the single point of reference for import conditions, and clients who previously applied for import permits using manual application forms can now apply for, track and manage their permits through the BICON system.
On 23 November 2015, the department plans to commence Stage Three of BICON's launch, which involves removing public access to the eLodgement system. From this date clients must use BICON to apply for, track and manage all of their new import permits.
Stage Three marks the final step in BICON's full launch.
